Re-engineering Crossfield
Crossfield faced a difficult problem when they originally contacted WC to re-engineer their website. They were frustrated because, as a thriving town in Alberta they needed to be able to make frequent edits to their website, and ultimately were unable to do so because they did not have a coder on site.
The Solution
To solve their problem, Ward Consultants created a solution for them which would allow them to update their website without the need of a webmaster or developer. As part of their package we created a custom integrated Content Management System to enable them to add and edit content on their website at will.
Because the software was developed using the Windows platform (opposed to web platform that you’ll normally see for CMS), it gave us the abilitity to add much more functionality than otherwise. Now, the town administration is able to update an online schedule, post news and events, add council minutes and other pertinent documents such as bylaws, and much more with the same simplicity as using a program like Microsoft Word.
The Result
Since the projects inception a year ago, the town administration couldnt be more thrilled with their new ability to manage their website. So much so that they have contracted WC again this year to being implementing improvements to give them even *MORE* control over the styling of the website.
